Lights Out! Cary is for the Birds
Cary is teaming up with the Audubon Society this fall, and you can too! Billions of birds are migrating, and you can help them make their trip safely by going Lights Out. Between now and Nov 30, join us in reducing lighting at night to help prevent bird window collisions by taking simple steps such as turning off any “up lighting,” turning off any non-essential lighting, and closing blinds/curtains each evening. Learn more at townofcary.org/green.

Sewer Rehabilitation Along Black Creek Greenway

With the Crabtree Creek Greenway now reopened to the public, Cary's sewer rehabilitation project turns to the Black Creek Greenway. First up, the section of the trail between W Dynasty Drive and North Cary Park is currently closed to the public with a signed detour in place. Once complete, this section will reopen and a similar closure and detour will take place north of North Cary Park. For more information on greenway closures and detours in the area, visit carygreenwaydetour.com.

Wastewater Report

Curious about what happens to the wastewater that goes down the drain? Get the facts in our Annual Wastewater Report. The report summarizes our system’s performance and provides quick facts, descriptions of our treatment facilities, and tips to keep the system working smoothly and the environment free from sewer spills. We are proud that our system continues to surpass federal and state requirements to protect your health and the environment. Visit townofcary.org/wastewaterreport to see the full report. Printed copies are also available at Cary facilities, Morrisville Town Hall, and at Cary libraries. Citizens may request a copy by mail by calling 311.
