Downtown Greenway Connection

We are beginning to design phase three of the Higgins Greenway -- the first greenway to reach into downtown! The Higgins Greenway is expected to extend east from Union Street to Kildaire Farm Road near Cary Elementary School and Kay Struffolino Park. From there, users will have sidewalk access to Downtown Cary destinations like Downtown Park.

Join us for a public information session on August 28 from 6-7:30 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, located at 221 Union St., to learn more about the design of this new greenway section.

Let's Make this Park... You

You’ve enjoyed spectacular lights at the fountain, challenged friends to a table tennis match and grooved to live music while watching the sun set over Cary. Now it’s time to take the Downtown Park to the next level! We need your input to make this the most remarkable public space yet.

Throughout the summer, we will be looking for your guidance and feedback to make this an extraordinary destination. Through open houses,  guided workshops, and online questionnaires, we’ll be working to make this park a reflection of you. Keep up with the project and opportunities for input on the Town’s website and Facebook page @TownofCaryNC.

Pressure Zone Shift

Nearly 1,000 homes in the area of the WestPark and Twin Lakes subdivisions will experience an increase in water pressure on Sept. 12. Those impacted received a letter in mid-June. If you received a letter, please review it carefully. If you did not receive a letter, your property is likely not included in the water pressure increase. To know whether you are in this or future changes, enter your property’s address into our interactive map, which can be found online at www.townofcary.org/pressurezone
