Rain It In
Use landscaping practices that capture spring’s rainwater to match your property’s needs and enhance the beauty of your yard. Visit carync.gov/RainItIn for tips and brief videos about techniques such as rain gardens to “slow it down, spread it out, soak it in!”

Avoid Water Woes

Prevent unexpected water issues as the spring comes upon us. See useful tips below:
• Mow around and not over meters to keep them intact.
• Do not cover the meter boxes. Did you know covering the meter boxes will hinder you viewing your Aquastar data? Landscaping items such as mulch, plants, and bushes covering your meter box can interfere with the data transmission necessary for you to view your water consumption online or being notified of high usage days.
• When out of town, keep an eye on your Aquastar portal to check for unforeseen plumbing problems. Call 311 to arrange for staff to turn off your water meter when
you leave for an extended period and schedule a time for us to turn it back on upon your return.
